    Announcing... OUR JANUARY KNIT ALONG!

    We're thrilled to announce the January Knit Along: it's The Carbeth Quartet of patterns by Kate Davies! The Knit Along kicks off on January 7th, and we'll once again be hosting optional Zoom and in-person meet-ups.

    The four patterns in the Carbeth series have a signature and quite distinctive yoke — yet each one has a little bit of a different flavor and level of challenge. They're all knit from the bottom up.

    Are you *really* a beginner?

    We hear it all the time: 

    “I’m just a beginner.”

    “I can’t handle anything too hard — I’m not that good.” 

    The funny thing is, many times the above statements come from knitters who are way beyond beginner level.

    Just the other day a customer self-identified as a beginner, then told me they’d recently knit an intarsia scarf.

    Comic books are fine, but I assumed Knitstrips was some publisher’s idea of how to make knitting seem cool. (I know knitting is most definitely cool, and even if it wasn’t I wouldn’t care.) After thumbing through the introduction by the authors, I knew I had to own this book — and I told my two best knitting friends about it, too.
