Socktober is a choose your own adventure KAL, which means you pick what kind of footwear you want make!
Not a sock knitter?
You're not alone! This year we're adding something special for our anti-tube friends —
OctoberVEST!
That's right, it's a vest side quest!
We're going totally tubeless — not a sleeve in sight. We've included a selection of our favorite vest yarns to the Socktober collection, just for our Vesties!
*Because OctoberVEST is a KAL side quest, we won't be offering the same level of pattern support as we do with the main KAL.
Whether you're a Local or Remote Goat, we'd love for you to join us. We'll host optional meet-ups, both in the store and online!
When you sign up for Socktober, you'll get an email with LOTS of juicy information, including info about the meet-ups, and a special discount code for your yarn!

Start here, with this primer on all the Knit Along things — including our philosophy (spoiler: we're not big on rules!).
The short version: we like to include as many folks as possible with appealing, classic designs that are inclusively sized.
Our KALs are FREE, and when you sign up for a KAL you'll get special weekly KAL emails with tips and resources, info about optional in-person and online meet-ups, and a special discount code for the purchase of your yarn.
