
Celebrate Summer in the Midcoast!
We LOVE our little corner of Maine, and it’s hoppin’ in summer! Cashmere Goat is located in Camden, a picture-perfect seaside village nestled right in the Midcoast region of Maine. There are always fun things happening in our town and surrounding community — especially in summer — so we figured it was time for a round-up of upcoming summer events!
Maine Lobster Festival — July 30 - August 3
The Maine Lobster Festival is five days of fun and feasting in Rockland, Maine at Harbor Park. This annual seafood festival takes place at the beginning of August. Initially designed to boost our Midcoast Maine fishery communities, this annual event has turned into an internationally-recognized celebration of local seafood. The Maine Lobster Festival attracts visitors from near and far!
Union Fair and Maine Blueberry Festival — July 30 - August 3
A classic agricultural fair hosted at the Union Fairgrounds with all your favorite midway carnival rides, livestock demonstrations and shows, plus food and craft competitions. The Union Fair is also home to Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival, which began in 1960. From the crowning of the 2025 Maine Blueberry Queen to baking and pie-eating contests, the fair and festival is quintessential Maine summer!
Rockland Makers Market — August 16
Shop for quality, handmade products from over fifty vendors, including fiber crafts and yarn dyers, jewelry, soap, stained glass, sea glass crafts, clothing, candles, and more — there’s truly something for everyone! The Makers Market is a free, monthly event from June to October held at Harbor Park with free parking.
Windjammer Festival in Camden — August 29 - 30
If you’re here for Labor Day weekend, walk down to the harbor to celebrate the Midcoast Windjammer fleet! The Windjammer Festival is a celebration of maritime heritage, with tours of the schooners, fireworks on Friday evening, a pancake breakfast and chowder competition, build-a-boat parade, the beloved Lobster Crate Race, a Nautical Dog Show, and more!
