Announcing... Our Spring Knit Along!

It's that very special moment you've all been eagerly anticipating... Our Spring Knit Along! (Drumroll please!)

We've chosen Love Note by Tin Can Knits! Love Note is a sweet and customizable design that's knit from the top down with a round and lacy yoke. With 15 sizes from baby through adult, we think there's a chance that somebody in your life deserves a Love Note‚ and maybe that somebody is YOU!

Techniques
Don't panic if you're new to lace knitting, because this is beginner-friendly lace (promise). Can you do a yarn over? Can you knit two stitches together and slip-slip-knit? Then you can knit lace!

We've got some suggestions for making it manageable if you're brand new to lace knitting. And if you joined us for the Soul Warmer KAL (2024 March KAL), you'll be familiar with the leaf-shaped lace motif!

Customization
One of the reasons we LOVE the Love Note is for the endless ways you can make this design your own. The samples in the pattern are knit with a strand of fingering-weight yarn plus a laceweight mohair for a bit of fluffy halo. If holding two yarns together sounds scary, you could hold a single strand of DK-weight yarn instead.

Choose a cropped or regular length Love Note! Short, long, or 3/4 length sleeves! A dropped hem in back or not!

Gauge and Fit
Love Note is knit at a fairly open and airy gauge (4 sts/in), making it a great choice for wearing through the seasons. The fabric has a beautiful drape which you can see in the pattern photos. 

Additionally, the pattern suggests 4"-12" of positive ease, but not everyone prefers that much ease. Some knitters have chosen a more form-fitting look.

Designer
This is the first time we've had a repeat designer for a Knit Along at the Goat — so that tells you something about how much we love this design team! Folks had such great success with our Dog Star KAL (Winter 2025), another TCK pattern — clear instructions, plus a really nifty app.
