Announcing — March Knit Along 2025

Announcing — March Knit Along 2025

We're excited to announce our March 2025 Knit Along — The Grid Gambit by Samantha Guerin! This pattern came out in November and received a lot of buzz on various knitting podcasts and Instagram. It was Lizzie, one of our Local Goats, who suggested it as a potential knit along pattern — and we agreed!

March Knit Alongs

Our March Knit Along is always an accessory. Why? Because March is a long and somewhat grueling month in Maine, so we need a knit that's fun and quick that makes us feel like we've accomplished something.

We'll kick off the Grid Gambit KAL during the first week of March!

More about the Grid Gambit

The Grid Gambit is a bandana-style cowl knit in DK yarn that uses slip-stitches for the colorwork. The thing we love about this cowl shape is that it's so easy to style. You just pop it over your head and it looks fabulous.

The pattern is clearly written (as well as charted) and it’s a super addictive knit. You find yourself wanting to do just-one-more-row — and we love the Grid Gambit as a way to show off a gradient or color-changing yarn.

cast on the Grid Gambit twice already as I ALWAYS need to remember how to do the M1R & M1L increases . Got all the way to the Chart B the second day of the third cast on #alwaysfigureonthreecastonattempts Finding it spicy enough to keep me on my toes but once established in the chart easy to listen or watch and still read the pattern to be sure I am in the correct location doing the correct thing.
