“Knit Loud, Knit Proud!” World Wide Knit in Public Day 2025

How do you celebrate WW Knit in Public day? Simple! Take your yarn and needles wherever you’re going and start knitting. You can do this with a group or you can be on your own. Or you can join us at Cashmere Goat!

We’ll be knitting under a tent in front of the shop this Saturday, June 14th from 2-4pm in celebration of World Wide Knit in Public Day. We would love for you to come by to celebrate and knit with us. 

What does knitting mean to us?

The community tops the list for us. We love seeing you come to a knitting group, a class, participating in a knit along, or simply coming to the shop for another skein or a new needle. We want to share our love of knitting and all things yarn with everyone. It’s our thing and YOU are our people! Stop by for a few minutes or a few hours — we'll be glad to see you.

Grandma hobby?

Knitting is not just a hobby for Grandmas! It’s for everybody who wants to knit. Besides, nothing’s wrong with Grandma hobbies! Grandmas are cool! Some of us are Grandmas and some aspire to be Grandmas some day. 

Any excuse to knit.

We love a reason to gather as a community! We’ll take any chance we can get to sit with our knitting friends and hang out, talking about all manner of things. World Wide Knit in Public Day is a great way to share two of our passions: our community and our love of this craft. We hope you’ll join us!
