DK yarn is typically knitted or crocheted on a needle size US 5 to 7 (3.75 mm to 4.5 mm), which you’ll find in our collection of knitting needles. 

However, make sure you check needle recommendations on your chosen pattern and always check your gauge to be sure you have the correct size needles.

No, it is actually incredibly easy to maintain because natural wool fibers inherently repel dirt and odors, meaning you rarely need to wash them. When it is time for a refresh, go for a quick, gentle soak in lukewarm water with a Wool Wash Bar with Lanolin (travel size available also!). This will keep your everyday sweaters looking brand new for years.

To guarantee your large blankets or heavy cardigans don't stretch out, simply make sure to dry them flat after washing rather than hanging them up.
